In a statement made by manager Carlo Ancelotti on Thursday, it has been affirmed that Real Madrid's interest in acquiring Kylian Mbappe has been definitively dismissed ahead of the impending closure of the transfer window next week.
Ancelotti has indicated that Real Madrid is poised to abstain from any further transfer endeavors during the ongoing window, slated to conclude on September 1st.
This statement comes as a suggestion that the club's activity in the current transfer market might have reached its culmination under his purview.
In response to inquiries about French striker Mbappe, he conveyed to the press: "No, I rule it out 100%. I think our squad is closed and our players are thinking about our season."
Despite the fact that the transfer window extends beyond September 1st in Saudi Arabia, allowing Gulf clubs further opportunity to recruit Europe's top talents, the Real Madrid manager expressed a lack of apprehension regarding this scenario.
"Someone may change their mind, but I am not afraid of that," he appended this statement prior to Real's upcoming LaLiga match against Celta Vigo on Friday.
Amidst conjecture stemming from midfielder Luka Modric's absence in Real's initial two league matches, suggestions arose of potential discontent on the Croatian's part. However, Ancelotti refuted such claims, asserting otherwise.
"Luka has already defined his future. He has no problem, he will contribute," Ancelotti said.
