Aymeric Laporte Departs Manchester City to Embark on Al Nassr Adventure

The transfer of Aymeric Laporte from Manchester City to the Saudi Arabian team Al Nassr has been successfully finalized.

Following weeks of negotiations, an accord was reached between the two prominent football clubs, culminating in a substantial transfer fee of approximately £25 million.

This pivotal decision transpired earlier this month, prompting Laporte to diligently assess an array of enticing prospects.

After careful contemplation, the footballer ultimately embraced an exciting journey to the Middle East, a choice that he openly shared and affirmed through his various social media platforms this week.

The long-anticipated deal has attained the stamp of authenticity, signifying the conclusion of Laporte's noteworthy five-year tenure with City.

The transition marks a significant juncture in the athlete's career, as he sets forth on a new chapter, adorned with fresh challenges and opportunities that await him beyond the confines of his former club.

"I am proud to have represented Manchester City over the last six seasons," Laporte told club media.

"When I first joined, I was excited about the prospect of winning trophies. However, I could not have imagined the success we would go on to achieve together."

"I would like to thank the coaches, my team-mates and of course the brilliant City fans for all of their support throughout my time in Manchester."

"I will always be a City fan and I look forward to seeing you all again."

With a tally of five Premier League titles under his belt, Laporte bids farewell to City, amassing an impressive count of 180 appearances for the club since his recruitment from Athletic Club in 2018.
